據(jù)多倫多太陽(yáng)報(bào)等報(bào)道，1月15日，在加拿大安大略省多倫多市，一位消防員在布魯爾東街88號(hào)的高層公寓電梯內(nèi)救出一名男子，而成功救人之前，該消防員曾因五根纜繩斷了一根而在井道內(nèi)自由墜落。一名男子在14樓進(jìn)入電梯后，電梯發(fā)生了事故。消防員用繩索纏繞身體，放生逐步下滑，從14樓的井道滑到電梯轎廂所在的位置。該男子隨后固定好隨消防員一同升到14樓，接受醫(yī)療人員的檢查。所幸無(wú)需入院觀察。技術(shù)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)與安全局中，負(fù)責(zé)安大略省的電梯設(shè)備安全的發(fā)言人稱，事故中電梯“并未失控下降”，應(yīng)急剎車(chē)設(shè)備啟動(dòng)有效。目前技術(shù)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)與安全局正在對(duì)設(shè)備進(jìn)行檢驗(yàn)。

TORonTO FIREFIGHTERS RESCUE MAN AFTER ELEVATOR FREEFALL

Toronto firefighters rescued a man from an elevator at a residential high rise at 88 Bloor Street East on January 15, after the unit went into freefall because one of its five cables snapped, the Toronto SUN is among news outlets to report. The man stepped onto the elevator on the 14th floor when the incident occurred. Firefighters rappelled several stories down the shaft from the 14th floor to gain access to the car. The man was fastened to a harness and taken to paramedics on the 14th floor. He was not hospitalized. A spokesperson for the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), which oversees elevator safety in Ontario, observed the elevator “was never in an uncontrolled descent,” and the emergency brake performed properly. TSSA is examining the unit.
